About Me

Hey there! I’m Beth—a teacher, a mom of three (ages 7 to 21), and someone who believes that learning should be fun, meaningful, and built on real connections.

I’ve been teaching upper elementary for over 25 years, most of those in Title I schools. My passion is working with kids who need more than the “average curriculum” provides (or ANY curriculum). For the past five years, I have been working with students in a gen ed Special Education shelter classroom setting. Many of my students bring a mix of academic and behavior IEPs, or face ESL language barriers. Through it all, we focus on building up their strengths by utilizing learning styles and flexible teaching. With such a dynamic yet challenging group, every day is different, and honestly? That’s what I love about it.

My goal has always been the same: to help kids surprise themselves with what they can do. I set the bar high, but I also believe in flexibility, laughter, and showing up as our authentic selves. When students feel safe, seen, and supported, they take risks. They grow. And when we, as teachers, embrace change and keep learning alongside them, we grow too.

That’s why I started Time4Change—a space for teachers who want to create inclusive, engaging classrooms without spending hours reinventing the wheel. Because teaching is hard enough. We need simple, effective ways to support our students, build community, and actually enjoy what we do.

So if you’re looking for fresh ideas, practical strategies, and resources that help make learning more accessible (and fun!), you’re in the right place. Let’s do this together!
